Happy Fathers Day –

I met my husband in 2000, was suppose to be just temporary, ended up being 18 years now!  We have 8 kids together…. (that he paid for and had, and I had that is)…  We have Ryan (now mine and Del’s), Megan, Jesse and Cody are Del’s, Terra is mine, Cheryl Del’s, Casey is mine, and Krystal Del’s…..  I started doing Del’s family tree, found out Del’s dad died when he was 16 years old, and then Del’s grandfather died when Del’s dad was 16 years old….and Del’s CHILDREN – would have been teens if they would have lost their dad to the car accident (or the last one anyway)!!!  I have learned a lot from Del….and today, in part, I honor the man he is, the FATHER HE IS!

I have learned that life is way too short to live in hatred and anger…  It is too short to not get 2 sides to a story, or hate your dad and not forgive him for what he “did” – because one day, you are an adult, not having that relationship with your dad… or your dad is GONE and you simply can’t get that time spent in anger – back.  Your father is your father, no matter what… and I know for me, I sure miss mine!

Thanks for stopping by,

Lynda Jeffs
