For
this hop, and all the Scraps to Treasure Team’s hops, you get ideas
from us using our scraps left over from other projects! I love being
able to create my cards from scraps, only really having to purchase the
card bases and envelopes. I use left over supplies from my scrapbook
projects, punches, die cuts and of course stamps! For my idea today – I
am showing you 3 different styles and colors of cards made with the
same present die cut – and a stamp or two mixed in to the bunch!
For the orange stripe card – a simple happy birthday saying stamped and embossed at the top, with a Sizzix present die cut at the bottom. I used a simple orange and white – intermixing the bows for each one of the presents to create visual interest! A very simple card to do for sure! With the pink card to the left, I used the same present die cut, and added a balloon Sizzix die cut with floss, and a bow to keep them together! I added a very simple saying at the top left in blue…Next time I do one, I would use black I think! Another fun and simple card for a beginner to do.
For the last card I did – I used scraps from other projects for the background paper – normally I start with the papers first – and then I go on to the theme of the card and the style I want it to look like. With the blue card, everything started with the corner piece – and moved on to the polka dot paper next! I added a simple saying that was embossed in white in the corner – and 3 simple presents at the bottom! All of my cards are one of a kind because of the fact I use scraps! I hope you join us in keeping your scraps and making fun cards and tags out of your scraps! I would love to see the inspiration you have gotten from my projects – make sure you share them with us!
